How does it work?

DinkyTask works best when it stays simple: the parent plans, the child completes, and the system makes the whole process visible and motivating.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦
Step 1

Create your family

Register, create your family, add children, or invite other family members with a simple family join code.

✏️
Step 2

Build tasks

Quiz, matching, reading, photo, video, or habit. Learning materials live in a separate library where AI can create summaries, question banks, and practice from them.

πŸ“…
Step 3

Start a daily plan

Set a time window, order the tasks, then copy a good plan for the next day if it worked well.

🎁
Step 4

Rewards and feedback

Children earn the exact star value configured on approved required tasks and diamonds from approved bonus tasks; parents approve, and rewards can be redeemed in the family reward shop.

Core features for real family life

DinkyTask is built around features that help in everyday routines: planning, tracking, feedback, and rewards in one place.

πŸ“

Quiz

With question banks, random question sets, passing thresholds, and optional AI assistance β€” including quizzes built directly from processed learning materials.

πŸ”—

Matching

Useful for word pairs, concepts, and language practice. The system evaluates the answer after submission.

πŸ“–

Reading aloud

The child reads aloud, the parent can review it manually, and premium can add AI-assisted evaluation.

πŸ“š

Learning-material library

Learning content is managed separately: type it in or import it from files/photos, summarize it with AI, build question banks and categories, then start quizzes, practice, AI helper topics, or listenable narration from it.

🎯

Practice from learning material

Processed learning materials can have their own practice mode. Children answer one question at a time, progress is saved, results appear at the end, and parents can configure rewards and reminders.

πŸ“Έ

Photo task

The child proves completion with a photo. Parents can approve it manually, and premium can add AI-assisted checking.

🎬

Video

A YouTube-based task that counts as completed after the configured viewing condition is met.

πŸ”

Daily habit

Made for recurring routines like brushing teeth, making the bed, or packing a school bag. Quick to manage and helpful for building rhythm.

πŸ“š Learning support

Practice from learning material in minutes

DinkyTask is more than a task list: parents can organize learning material, and children get playful, rewardable practice from it.

Why does this help parents?

Less preparation, more trackable practice: a lesson becomes a question bank, targeted review, and a motivating success experience.

1️⃣

Upload or type in the material

Paste the lesson, or import it from a file, textbook photo, or notebook photo. Materials stay in their own library instead of getting mixed into daily tasks.

2️⃣

AI summary + question bank + categories

The system processes the material, creates summaries, and organizes questions into topics. That makes practice more focused than a random question list.

3️⃣

Practice, quizzes, and parent control

Start a quiz or a dedicated practice mode from the material. Children can earn rewards, parents set the rules, and practice reminders can be controlled per child.

🎁 Motivation

Family reward shop: motivation you define together

The DinkyTask reward shop is not a webshop. It is a family motivation system: parents create the rewards, and children request them with the stars and diamonds they earn from approved tasks in evaluated plans.

⭐

Children see why progress matters

Points turn into clear goals: an extra story, shared play time, pizza, a family activity, or anything that motivates your child.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§

Parents stay in control

Parents define the rewards, approve or reject requests, and can manage stock when a reward is limited.

🎯

From quick wins to bigger goals

Stars come from approved required tasks and diamonds from approved bonus tasks β€” always using the exact value configured on each task.

AI, with clear boundaries

DinkyTask works well without AI too. AI is there to save parents time and give children extra support, not to replace the parent’s role.

What can AI do today?

  • βœ“create quizzes and matching exercises from a topic
  • βœ“import, process, and summarize learning materials
  • βœ“generate automatic question banks and categories from learning materials
  • βœ“start quizzes, practice, and AI helper topics from learning materials
  • βœ“turn learning materials into listenable narration
  • βœ“recognize text from book or notebook photos
  • βœ“AI-assisted checking for reading and photo tasks
  • βœ“AI Homework Helper for learning topics and questions

Important limitations

  • β€’AI can make mistakes, so the final decision always stays with the parent
  • β€’AI features use a monthly AI credit allowance
  • β€’if the AI credit allowance runs out, task management still keeps working
  • β€’some AI-generated content may show a confidence indicator
Premium AI

AI Homework Helper

Parents can create dedicated topics β€” including from uploaded learning material β€” children can ask questions, and parents can review the conversations at any time. On the parent side, the system can also show when the AI is less confident about a topic.

  • βœ“topics created with a starting instruction or from learning material
  • βœ“child-friendly answers grounded in source material
  • βœ“short, detailed, and full learning-material views with narration
  • βœ“parent visibility, closing, and archiving
πŸ“–

Guided topics

Children can get dedicated topics for homework, projects, or focused learning blocks.

πŸ’¬

Conversation and help

Children can ask with text or images, and parents can review the history.

πŸ‘οΈ

Parental visibility

Topics can be closed or archived and followed from the parent interface.

πŸ›‘οΈ

Safety filters

The system uses input and output filtering to help reduce risks for children.

Integrations for more technical parents

For more technical parents, DinkyTask can send one family webhook with daily plan and submission events. This makes it possible to connect it to IFTTT Webhooks, Node-RED, Make/Zapier-style automation tools, or your own webhook endpoints.

🧩

Automation API

Token-based API for current family, per-child, and daily plan status, plus an event feed.

πŸ”—

Webhooks

One family webhook URL automatically receives plan start, success, failure, review-expiry, and submission review-status events β€” for example for IFTTT Webhooks, Node-RED, Make, Zapier, or your own backend.

βš™οΈ

Advanced, not required

If you do not have a smart home, you are not missing the core experience. This is an extra option for enthusiastic technical families.

Pricing, made clear

The base plan is free to use. Premium includes a monthly AI credit allowance for one family; extra credits can be purchased if needed.

What exactly is an AI credit?

AI credit is a simple, transparent unit for DinkyTask AI features. The credit cost of an operation depends on how much text or imagery needs to be processed, which AI model is used, and how much response content needs to be generated. When possible, DinkyTask shows an estimate before starting, and the final charge is recorded after a successful operation.

What can 1000 monthly AI credits roughly cover?

  • βœ“dozens of AI-generated practice tasks or quizzes
  • βœ“several longer learning materials plus AI helper topics
  • βœ“regular AI Homework Helper conversations together with reading or photo checks
  • βœ“a comfortable monthly starting allowance for typical family use

For detailed per-operation credit estimates, see the AI guide.

Detailed AI credit guide

Extra AI credits

If the monthly allowance runs out, active subscribers can buy extra credit packs in the app. Extra credits are available for the listed period and are paid through Stripe checkout.

Extra 500 AI credits
500 AI credits β€” €2.49
usable for 30 days, active subscribers only
Extra 1000 AI credits
1000 AI credits β€” €4.49
usable for 90 days, active subscribers only

Which credits are used first?

DinkyTask always spends the active credit bucket that expires soonest first. For example, if a family has trial credits and also receives or buys extra credits valid for 90 days, the credits with the earlier expiry are used first. If the trial or subscription is no longer active, leftover trial/monthly allowance is no longer usable; only active, unexpired extra credits can still be used.

Trial

7 days + 100 AI credits

Premium features are available during the trial. The 100 AI credits are a one-time starting allowance.

Premium

1000 AI credits / month

The premium plan gives 1000 AI credits each month. Unused monthly allowance does not roll over.

If it runs out

The system keeps going

Plans, tasks, rewards, and parental approval still work. Only AI features pause until the next monthly allowance or an extra credit purchase.

Parent guide and contact

The parent guide collects the most important information about using DinkyTask: how to get started, which task types are available, and how installation, AI, and optional integrations work.

Important right now

  • β€’the service is currently in beta
  • β€’the guide focuses on features that are available today
  • β€’separate pages cover installation, daily use, and integrations
